| Greetings from work. It's so disdurbingly quitet today @ the office, so here goes another thread. Discuss about your current pc rig, or if you are planning to buy a new one. What do you buddies have, what is your deam piece of hardware. Come on, dont be shy. Here I go. + Currently I have a Gaming laptop Asus G2S, wich I tought was 'sweet' to have a gaming laptop. Later it turned out that I had just wasted loads of money on a piece of shit actually. The machine itself is locked to VISTA only, and when XP is installed on it, it just basically kicks you in the nutsack complaining that my ram is the wrong type, I mean seriously WTF?! Mkay, so I can hook up Linux on it, wich is nice, but wth I can do with Linux? Hardly runs Pootoshop on it if at all. Also the big load of turd weighs about 5 kilos, and tends to overheat very quickly and has some driver issues, since the last drivers for the GPU were released about the same fucking year as the apes discovered sicks are nice for whacking your friends in the face. The shiny surface gets messy after a short perioid of gaming and there is too many fucking cracks that your sweat can hide in and start to grow allkinds of new creatures, starts to remind me of SPORE. The keyboard heats very nicely up also, and sometimes you can almost feel your fingers burning against the hot plastic. I wanted a portable gaming pc not a god damn frying pan that can run CRYSIS ffs. Also the air income fans are located on the both sides of the keyboard facing upwards, wich again mean that if you leave your pc on, close the lid and go to sleep, you'd better pray that by the morning your shiny turd pile haven't melted thru the blody table and hit the floor and exploded. Yes, it came with a nice backbag to put it in... Yay? Too bad it didn't come with a fire extinguisher, sausages and some grillingsticks. Fuck.----------------- As for furure, I have aready made my plans. BEHOLD! Acer PredatorNo, it can't fly and shoot lazer beams. | |

| Omg that case ! Tho, i would only buy the case to re-paint it, cut the side out and place a glass plate behind it. Assphire crap i dont need Well for me: I have at the moment 2 computers and 1 laptop. 1 computer dates from the period that jesus walked on water. This PC is in the closed since i have it actually, no idea why i bought it (was cheap tho). The other computer (also PC) is way heavier and newer. The CPU itself is out-of-date (Intel Celeron D (Dual Core (2x 1.8Ghz))) the motherboard tho is very nice, a Intel DG33BU (from the classic series). Before i had a Gefore 7200 GS in it, if i was lucky i had 60 FPS in CSS, so i bought (on recommandation of Yoda) the Asus GeForce 8800 GT, goddamn, this baby works like a whore (read: perfect! ). I've 3 GB RAM in it since i run XP (Vista sucks harder then Win95, Win98, Win2000, WinNT and WinME all together). I only have this computer for a few months now so i dont know every aspect yet, but that will come when things start to break or stop working. About the laptop, i have no idea what is in it, it runs Lineage 2 on low graphic with minor lags, but it costed only 450€, i'm not a idiot to buy a Gaming laptop (those thingies are like 3 times more expensive then a PC with the same performance. | |

And my speakers are my baby's Check them out: These are ACTIVE monitor speakers (which basically means they both have their own AMP build in). Insane clean and realistic sound for producer purposes. On this mac mini I run Logic Studio (Logic pro 8 ) and produce electronic music, mix bands and more. When I ever find my camera again I'll take a picture of my home recording studio here ;p | |
